Commonly referred to as the "Medicine Buddha", Bhai?ajyaguru is an extremely popular figure in Buddhism, described as a doctor who cures suffering using the medicine of his teachings. He is not the historical Shakyamuni Buddha (Siddhartha Gautama), but a bodhisattva who made 12 great vows and achieved Buddhahood. Beautiful hand-painted cold-cast resin. Imported item.
